Vintage Red Sweater/ Full Pleated Skirt- LF/ Vintage Clutch/ Black Pointed Toe Heel Flats-Zara
When driving around the hills of Malibu this week I could help but swing by the famous Beverly Hills Hotel to snap a few photos. Retouching my vintage collection in my wardrobe with this fifties ensemble. I absolutely adore the “fit n flare” look but it’s rare I find pieces that still resemble current styles as well as the old. This LF skirt does just that with its playful flouncy but shorter length. Perfect for swing dancing in the middle of the street in Beverly Hills!

Trina Turk Dress/ Vintage Black Clutch/ Pointed Toe Flat Heels- Zara
A beautiful day at the Getty Villa wearing one of my favorite pieces from my Trina Turk collection. I tend to welcome any Trina Turk dress into my wardrobe, even elegant little backless ones too. Trina Turk always has such beautifully tailored and feminine minimalist pieces that always leave me questioning”what would my wardrobe do without them?” Her pieces definitely add some foundation to my closet.
Had a quiet afternoon spent in Malibu at the courtyard of the Getty Villa. Finding anytime to explore these days is a day well spent for me. I’ve grown an acquired taste for Greek art & architecture that this museum shares. Walking around a small Greek palace had me wishing I came in a chiton.

Since before Paris I had been working on a special collaboration with the girls from the online boutique Hello Dolly, that I’m so excited to finally share with you. When meeting the girls behind Hello Dolly I could help but to fall in love with the brand and the whole concept behind Dolly. We wanted to create a special shoot that reflected Vanity Youth raiding Dolly’s closet running around the hills of Hollywood. I must say playing dress up all day and wearing dramatic eye makeup on set was nothing I’ve ever done and was just so damn fun! Such a pleasure working with these sweet girls and creating this fun collaboration shoot. Happy Anniversary to Hello Dolly’s 1 year last month! You can shop any of the pieces I’m wearing here!
Big thanks to Joanna Samson (CEO of Hello Dolly) & Kristine Pabros (Director of Production and Marketing) !
Neoprene Frill Skirt- Zara / Pocket Sweater- Zara / Crystal Necklace- Zara / Blue Messenger Bag- Zara / Christian Dior Heels / CoCo Chanel: An Intimate Life by Lisa Chaney
Exploring the ideas of masculine and the feminine, simplicity and complexed, defined and the tweedy. With this in mind I’ve been carefully investing in timeless pieces I know I will never go out of style. I seek advice from the legendary life of Madame Chanel through the pages of my newest read, CoCo Chanel: An Intimate Life by Lisa Chaney . Anytime quiet time I find between work and school is perfect time to piece together the life of a woman who transcended time and trends. An inspiration to all young trailblazing woman.
Got really excited when I purchased my first pair of Christian Dior pumps that fueled my classic need. What I love most about them is there soft reptile texture that add a whole other level of quality. Shoes are my weakness and this season I plan to stay on top of my shoe game.
I shall leave you with some words from her English love Capel, CoCo Chanel: An Intimate Life by Lisa Chaney:
“Remember that you’re a woman.’
All too often I forgot that.”
Vintage Cropped Jacket/ White Cropped Top-Zara/ Asymmetrical Black Skirt- Zara/ Sapphire Earrings- Zara/ Lucite Block Heels-Jeffrey Campbell
Inspired by the iconic Gabrielle Bonheur, also commonly known as CoCo Chanel, I create a contemporary twist on this look with some fun asymmetrical lines. I purchased this skirt about a month ago at Zara’s end of summer sale and was waiting for the right pieces to shoot it with. Came together to create a transitional monochrome fall look with a little edge. Also have been waiting to shoot these geometric shaped heels by Jeffrey Campbell which seemed to add to the fun abstract lines I have going on. Add a hat and some pearls and I think this modern adaptation of CoCo could be a potential Halloween costume.
Randy captured some fun behind the scenes shots of me and JR in our natural habitat. Candid best friend shots are always my favorite to share since I don’t get enough everyday. Check out more of Randy’s work here!

White Cropped Jacket- Theory/ White Cropped Top- Zara/ Pencil Skirt with Bottom Frill-Zara/ Zara Earrings/ White Pointed Toe Heels-Zara
For me, sometimes the way a garment looks isn’t enough to satisfy me. It must also feel fun to touch too. Textured fabrics play a big role in determining if I am going to purchase something or not, like it did with this skirt. Besides the playful frill volume and color pencil like print, the texture of this piece has me constantly patting down my skirt every time I wear it. Wore it with a floral textured top from Zara when shooting my second look with fashion photographer Randy Tran. So pleased that Randy was able to capture the nature movement of my favorite fall skirt!

Today marks to first day of New York Fashion Week and in light of that I thought I’d post my first official fall ready attire. Pretty much stepped out of the pages of British Vogue on this one and scouted inspiration from some of my favorite London designers, Stella McCartney to be exact. In search for my fall wardrobe I wanted something that reflected fall colors but not so much the fall bundle up, since the 89 degrees weather here in California is causing me to run to any air conditioner in sight. Of course I ended up finding everything I needed at Zara where I also found this European equestrian inspired cap! It was the perfect fit to my top off this look.
Had a fun evening snapping these photos with amazing fashion photographer Randy Tran! Stay posted for more look I shot with Randy soon! Also very excited to announce the launch of my fellow fashion blogger bestie’s (JR Millama) blog “Industrius” ! Check out this new menswear editorial journalism for the pursing gentleman.

Royal Blue Zara Blouse/ Zara White Trousers/ Zara Earrings/ Vintage Black Clutch/ Zara White Pointed Toe Heels
Never thought a pair of tailored white trousers would leave me feeling so feminine yet empowering. Actually never thought I would find a perfectly tailored trouser period. Leave it to Zara to prove me wrong and to add another staple piece to my wardrobe. Realized this is the first pair of pants I’ve purchased in years, seeing that all I wear are dresses and skirts. Wore this look out on a afternoon spent watching the sunset over Balboa Park with best friend Lisa. Never knew I could find a little piece of European architecture in San Diego. With the limited time left of summer any day to get away and wander is a day well spent.

Nothing like a simple monochrome piece to transition into the new season, and this fall I’m taking it “back to the roots”. Approaching this season with some classic pieces and timeless shapes to give my closet some foundation to grow into a new direction. Paying close attention to a choice of color palette, structured fabrics, clean hemlines, and interesting textures as I want my closet to portray a perfectly poised modernity. So far the wardrobe transition is doing quiet well as you should expect to see some trouser suits, asymmetrical pencil skirts, pleated dresses, straight cut coats, and many pointed toe heels.
As you all many know some of my go to staple pieces in my wardrobe are from my favorite California based designer Trina Turk. Just to add another piece to that list is this black and white checkered dress I picked up at my work. One of my favorite things about her pieces are how easily they can convert from day to evening wear especially when your consonantly running in between work meetings, lunch dates, church fellowships, blog projects, and night events. I know I’m set for a whole day in one of her pieces no matter what the occasion is. Actually wore this look to Saturdays Teen Vogue back to school event at the Grove in LA. Had a fun afternoon celebrating the launch of back to school shopping and seeing Teen Vogue’s editor and chief Amy Astley. Any excuse to shop is any excuse for me. Now back to the inspiration board for a fun collaboration I’m working on this weekend! More details on that to come.

Even though I may be back from Paris, my Parisian mind and daily outfit ensembles are definitely not and I don’t think will ever be. Between morning french lessons, afternoon reads through L’Officiel, and constant driving with French Cafe radio on repeat, I’m starting to become immune to the Parisian lifestyle. I find more and more inspiration everyday not only to dress like a french working women, but to speak, walk, and dine as they do. This classic yet feminine style is just one out of many looks that describes growing up self and this timeless floral dress is the perfect way to celebrate the last weeks of summer in luxury.
