Reflection

Zara Blue dress/ Cat eye sunnies- Buffalo Exchange/ White Pointed Toe  Heels- Zara/ Vintage Black Clutch- Buffalo Exchange

Who would have thought out of all places I would find one of my dream location in a small neighborhood in Newport Beach. I’ve been slowly losing inspiration for photo shoot locations in the past months here in Orange County which has driven me to go elsewhere like taking a spontaneous drive to Palm Springs. But, thanks to Lan Doan I’m starting to realize that I haven’t seen everything here in the OC. For someone who strongly believes the location of where your photos are taken are just as important as what you are wearing it always stresses me out trying to find a new exciting location to shoot. My ideal location would be aesthetically modern, quiet, and have a killer view of the beach which is everything is location had.

And for the perfect location I was very surprised I chose the right pop of color! This Zara dress with structured shoulders and a lady like length is everything I look for in a dress now these days. I love when inexpensive things look more expensive then what they really are, Zara always seems to hit that look for me.

Now inspired once again I can’t wait to see what new places I stumble upon this summer… perhaps a hidden garden in Paris?

Take Two: Cara Delevingne & Tom Hiddleston

Vogue May 2013 Issue

These photos have been lingering in my head ever since I open this months issue of Vogue. Its easy to say I adore this editorial because of the simple fact Cara’s face appears in it, but theirs many more reasons why this has become one of my favorite fashion editorials of all time. The balance between how soft yet composed every photograph is, evokes a sense of inviting interest that makes me wonder what they were thinking of at that moment. I catch myself getting lost in these pages imagining what they were saying. Its tells a story of a classic romance and I can’t help but covet every minuet of it…

Perpetual State of Mind

Asos Creme pleated dress/ Zara Heels

Here’s the second look from my afternoon shoot with Lan Doan . Simplicity was the idea for this look and nothing fit that description better than this creme Asos dress. Classic cut dresses will always dominate the majority of my wardrobe and this in particular dress is my absolute favorite. Perhaps I love this dress more than any other for the simple textured detail it has woven in the fabric. Not only is it clean and modest but it has a playful volume to its skirt that adds a youthful edge to this silhouette. Huge thanks to Lan Doan for capturing these fun moments! On Edge

Retro black romper- American Rag Pie/ Orange Lucite clutch- Zara/ Soiree Heel- Jeffrey Campbell

I’ve been extremely excited to post these photos from last weeks shoot with photographer Lan Doan. One of my favorite perks of being a fashion blogger are the fun projects I get to collaborate with talented photographers and artist. For once I could really focus on just my styling and what I wanted these photos to evoke. For this particular shoot I was inspired by the sleek pages of British Vogue for an editorial like feel. Its funny that I always seem to find myself stepping into another retro/vintage piece for a shoot. I guess vintage to me seems to complete my look better than any modern piece can. A special thanks to Jessica Frias for makeup and Lan Doan for these amazing photos! Stay posted for my second look with Lan in my next post.

Aussie Love

Shakuachi dress/ LoveIt Jewelery/Pink marble shades- Buffalo Exchange/ Zara Heels

Nobody does short sundresses better than the Aussies. My closet is definitely having its fare share of Australian brands lately. Over the past year I’ve been defining my favorite Australian brands and have recently added another to my list. Shakuachi is no exception to the short leggy dresses and still seems to be my favorite spring pieces in my closet. After my continuously desirability for this brand I must say the quality of every piece is all one hopes for. I might just have to take a trip to Australia to see what other brands I fall in love with.

Seventies Poolside Lounging

Retro Seventies Floral One Piece- Buffalo Exchange/ Orange Red Flower Crown- The Lobby/ Open toe heels- Zara

Summertime dreaming in my vintage retro one piece I’d prefer to wear rather than any bikini. Growing up I’ve always though of a bathing suit as another outfit to put together. The more to the bathing suit the better in my opinion. Something about a loud print or a ruffle brings a sense of happiness to every swim attire. I though what a better place to wear out my 70′s floral one piece than this weekend in Coachella Valley. Its like my bathing suit felt at home with the retro architecture of Palm Spring. This summer will paid homage to the hip 70s in this playful floral print. Once again another vintage piece seem to fill the holes of playful color that my wardrobe sometimes seems to lack.

Coachella Bound

Seaton Lime Coverup/ Orange Red Flower Crown- The Lobby/ White open-toe heel- Zara

Happy Coachella weekend 1! Sending some love from Coachella Valley in my Music Festival attire. I had the pleasure of starting off my day attend the ACE Hotel annual “Desert Gold” party hosted by Dolce Vita on Friday! A super relaxing afternoon chilling by the poolside mingling with other Coachella bound attendees and being interviewed by Daily Candy editor on what I was wearing. Had a chance to stepped away from the pool side to snap these shots at the ACE Hotel with JR Millama.  Decided to where my super light weight bathing suit cover-up by Seaton and some open toed Zara heels to keep cool in the 92 degree desert weather. One thing a Orange County born native can not adapted to easily is the striking desert heat, but luckily there was a small breeze to keep me from roasting up. More Coachella inspired looks to come! Stay post!
